Great set of films. I saw that there’s a new Nan Goldin documentary on HBO. All the Beauty and the Bloodshed. Haven’t had the time to check it out but it’s on the list.
I am in the middle of watching it. Didn't realize she was so politically oriented in her work, particularly the opening vengeance against the opioid crisis. She was/is? definitely an outsider. Much to unpack here.
That's great! Thanks for looking, Susan. Richard is a fascinating photographer, isn't he? I haven't kept up as closely with his recent work as I should, but I do own a copy of his book, Infra, that Aperture published a few years back. You can see more of those pictures here: https://trendland.com/richard-mosse-infra-series/ They are something!
that interview with Robert Mosse totally bowled me over, I could not stop watching. Such dedication and creativity. It actually made me wonder, what am I even doing here, just documenting such mundane things as theatre and museums and the privileged life around me. Robert Mosse is someone I really take my hat off to .
