When I win the lottery, this will be my plan!

Postscript was a gut punch.

I know. I was smiling the entire time and then, wham.

I saw this yesterday- great. This could and should be a full-length doc. This is the story of the moment- unless nurtured and protected, art will vanish.

Right? Sad ending.

Thanks for sharing this. I needed to hear this kind of inspiring story. Yes, very sad ending. it makes me think as I get older I need to prepare for this ending as nothing stays forever.

Ann, so present, standing next to the fire escape and pretending that the city sounds were the ocean. She created the sea zone for many artists. So much was lost when she died.

A beautifully made documentary. Thank you sharing Andy.

I love that pic of the ping pong paddle too. Thanks for the doc recommendation. I’m excited to check it out. Maker spaces are being incorporated more and more into schools and I’m hoping to get inspired.

Sharing a life with Ann and the other artists at The Candy Factory is a dream of mine that I, only now, remember having.

Very poignant - thank you for sharing. I am involved with an artists' studio communty here in Bath in England and we have an upcoming lease expiry which is causing some existential headaches, but as a community it seems quite similar to the Candy Factory bunch, setting up something some 25 years ago. I assume the CF became defunct after the building sale; I hope Bath Artists' Studios doesn't go the same way.
