Good morning! I also woke up to the birds this morning…06.00am here in the UK. I sat my phone on the window shelf whilst making tea. In that time my Merlin app recorded the following chorus.. Chiffchaff, parakeet, greater woodpecker, blue tit, great tit, wood pigeon, chaffinch, wren, blackbird, robin. Not bad for 12 minutes warbling time!
Hoping you are feeling more rested, Andy. We wake to the birds here in our corner of France. These Spring days, the cuckoo is the alarm clock. I am up early, slice of lemon in water, classical music to ease into the day, grateful to be able to connect with like minded souls across the ocean through this medium. Have a wonderful day.
Recovering from Covid after a trip to see loved ones in NY. Thankful for a resilient immune system and groceries in the fridge. Looking through the photos I took, it’s a reminder that no matter how banal they may be, they’re a record of what brings me happiness. I could say that’s also true of those I choose to follow online. Thank you and congrats on almost a decade!
I’m up early too (while 8 friends sleep at girls weekend) and was visited by a California Scrub Jay (no way to put photo in a comment). Thanks for all that you do! I love what your eye sees.
Reading this inspired me to go for a walk because I realised I feel stiff in the body as I was reading. Your newsletter is doing more than sharing pictures and stories Andy! In real time

Thanks for these kind words, Jennifer. I hope you get well soon! And I agree about the pictures. They really are a gift, aren't they?
Reading this on a grumpy evening in New York City, thank you for reminding me (as always) to pause, reflect and take pictures.
Cultivating the right attitude takes a lot of work. I’ve got more respect for everyone that keeps trying, even when it doesn’t seem to be working.
love this Andy! You are so appreciated!

Grumpies are a thing! So glad we can find joy to bring us back up with inspiring photos. ☺️

Hey! Two early birds. Enjoy this day, Mia!
I'm up bright and squirrely so I can definitely relate. Great post.
Cheers, Dave!

That's wonderful. Enjoy!
Yours in gratitude too, Andy! 🙏🏻🧡
I love thanking people for looking, the only thing better is a "thank you for buying".
