What a lovely thought! I think that this is one the biggest problems with social media for me, how one sided it can become - the person who creates and shares becomes the center of attention. But the whole point of us being connected online is to be able to have a conversation, not a monologue. The most often used Instagram feature for me is the question sticker - so many times people’s answers to my questions opened up my horizons and helped others understand something better. Here’s to discovering the world together through each other 💕
Thanks for the note, Monika. And thank you for reading! Are we connected on Instagram? You can find me there @flakphoto if we're not already. Looking forward to learning more about your projects. Take care!
I just followed you on Instagram (I’m @berlinboudoir). But I must admit that I’m a bit tired of the witch hunt on Instagram - they constantly shadow ban my work and I would basically have to remove half of it for Instagram to like me again. In the meantime trying to explore Substack and I like it here a lot. It’s much easier to have an interesting conversation, but of course I miss the people whom I know on Instagram but aren’t here yet...
I love your newsletter. As someone who fell into an accidental early retirement this year you've opened the door to new possibilities and interests in images. I learn so much from you and the awe inspiring work of the photographers and their work you showcase. Thank you for being here and sharing, the work. Merry Christmas and winter season, peace and goodwill to all.
boy oh boy that Ansel

Thank YOU for reading, Claire. I appreciate you!
Ansel's is great but I like the Darren Clark one as well! Thanks for sharing Andy.
Lovely words as always mate. How does Ansel Adams make scenes look so real yet so unreal simultaneously? So very good
You are welcome. Know that we get a “rush” from your newsletters.
Cheers, Steve!🙏🪷📸
I haven’t had an Ansel Adams calendar for many years, SMH at myself on that 🤦🏻♂️
Would be nice to win one 🤞
Thank you for sharing! Fabulous newsletter ❤️
Thank you, Andy, for the work you do to keep us all connected. Cheers and good wishes from the West Coast of Canada.
Take care, c!
