I love this! The history of photography is endlessly fascinating especially what candid and amateur photographers did with it. This essay excites me with the ramifications of the way photography has been used culturally and politically.

History illustrating people are just people…but in different clothes, is brilliant. I’m fascinated by the parallels of society we can ponder over in our day, and the cunning wit of the persons utilizing these newfangled gadgets of their time. I’d love a copy if I were lucky enough. Super fun read, thank you 🙏🏽
