Flak's Photo of the Day was a huge joy for me -- if you bring it back, I'd love it and forward the photos to people I care about. Thanks Andy.

Love these. As to starting another newsletter--you can always add a section to this one and your readers can opt in or out of it. That' might be a better solution than an entirely new newsletter. As others have said, there's so much coming into our inboxes now!

Good thought, Ramona. Thank you!

I love photography, but I’m really having a hard time keeping up with the publications I’ve subscribed to, and my email is an exercise in how-fast-can-I-delete-everything? If Substack continues to evolve the way we as readers have control over receiving the publications we’ve subscribed to, such as once per week emails, then I’d be all for it.

I love the photo of the mother and child! I prefer the 5 photog digest, I think.

Andy, I love reading your newsletter and I usually dig into all the images and links you present. That said, I think I would get grumpy at receiving a daily email, even if it does contain a gorgeous or provocative photo. I get far too much email!!

Maybe a weekly, single image?

I wouldn't mind getting an email everyday. Or, depending on the overall opinion, it could be 7 photos once a week ;)

I’d prefer this option but having said this I don’t get emails as I have smart notifications on. I had to move here from social media as it was too much and too noisy I much prefer reading longer content, curated content. 🧐 it’s personal isn’t it?

I'm using Notes for that. Sharing a photo of abother photographer (but without a link... photos of archive that I downloaded years ago, so I lost the links) every day.

That’s a lovely idea!

Oh my, I love the photo of the mother and child. ❤️

Good morning Andy. I love the photos and your idea to bring it back though I didn't know of you back then! Hahaha. I too am over Instagram, though still there! Such a conundrum. I'm happy to find you and your work on Notes!

Great to meet you, Maureen! Thanks for checking out my little corner of the internet. I'm looking forward to learning about you and your projects!

Andy, I have a large (for me) photography exhibition booked for next spring! I'll make an official announcement soon (though Notes is very public, hah!) But what gives me joy and possibly validation? is that you've been focusing on photography for years! Reinforcing that photography is still relevant is everything.

Indeed! I don't think photography has been more relevant than it is right now. The image is critical and drives the culture. Keep me posted on your exhibition. And congratulations!

I like the 1 photo per day with a link. Or less often if you have nothing great to send that day. Zuckerberg has ruined Facebook and Instagram by jamming the feed with far more than I can handle in a day, so this sounds great.

No thanks, I’m overwhelmed with emails every day as it is and have been paring back and unsubscribing from a lot of places, especially the ones that send out messages frequently.

Thanks for the note, Helen!

That beautiful pink billowing cloud and the mother and child took my breath away. I struggle with keeping up with newsletters but will happily hope on substack and catch up on the posts I’ve missed.

Lovely !

I love this post and, my word, that Darren Clark image is one to get lost in. I think I'd be more into one newsletter with 5 photographers to choose from. Daily rhythms seem to sit comfortably in Notes ... I would inevitably peek at a daily share there. Keep up the generous work, Andy. You are inspiring me to think so much about the ways this community can work and thrive. Living your evolution in public is a great example of what makes this space special. Barrie
