Great idea Andy, would also love to know what you like about their work, what inspires you and why you admire them. You're doing a great thing for photography here, congratulations!
I've spent the day deep in reviewing course materials, reading, listening and watching about photography and nearly skimmed the post. But this was perfect. I felt like I had fallen into a Richard Ford novel (in a good way!) Thanks for sharing.
Well, thanks to someone sharing a link to Greg's podcast on the FB Flak photo page I knew about his work way back when he started! Wonderful to see people discovering him and his pictures, this is a perfect example of how one social media platform has too much signal-to-noise and another connects far better. There are soooo many obstacles for understated, quiet little projects like this. Good on you Andy for giving it some attention.
Thanks for sharing Greg’s image and audio. I was just in Coney Island 3 days ago so this totally resonated. Mixing photographs and audio is a neat idea! I might just do some experiments on that myself.
This is great. I love that while he describes the photo in detail his narrative is not really about the photo per se but about time and place, both then and now, which I think is what most photographs are about.
For me, the audio enhances the mystery...we'll never know anything more about these people...they are forever frozen in that chance moment that brought 5 people into a single frame at a single moment in time.
I could probably stare at Steeplechase Pier, 1991 for another hour. Brilliant.
So so wonderful!
The added commentary is fantastic
So beautiful with feeling, love, and pathos...something so human.
So brilliant and mesmerizing. I wish I had that voice
Ha! Greg's so talented. Thanks for listening, Siddharth!

Love Greg’s work!! Always have been a big fan.
Ok, my home recording studio looks identical to Greg’s we must be kindred spirits! Loved the photos you shared too.
Thanks for looking, Charlotte! Greg is fantastic.

Excellent spotlighting ... I wasn't at all familiar with Greg Miller ... this is the perfect introduction. The audio adds such depth
Isn't he great? Nice guy, too. Thanks for looking, Barrie!
So cool that he was engaged in your sharing of his work and thinking, Andy.

I love the idea of creating audio stories to go with images. It’s like getting a guided tour from the artist
I love this concept.
