Hey Andy since you wrote something to me, I’ll send something to you and your followers. Check out my friend’s PORTFOLIO at www.Seraphina.com. Am I allowed to say that here? I’m new and not sure but her photography is her passion and brings incredible joy to me. Just want to share the joy. I truly admire her talent, skill and dedication to her craft.
Hey Andy, it's not nuts at all that looking at photos brings you well-being. In that activity, you are practicing the art of noticing which brings awareness i.e. presence. Presence generates calm. Love to see other writers sharing what brings them joy and well-being.
This reminds me of how much I used to love photography! I used to find it so meditative and fun. Thank you for sharing your passion. It’s re-inspiring me to take my camera out and use it again 😊
You've communicated before about people do with theirphotography, etc. Thought this article was interesting in that regard. I, like the author, make my own personal books & while it would fantastic if there was a wider audience but in the end I'm simply doing it for myself.
"Looking at pictures trains the eyes to see." I love this.
I saw a quote the other day that said "the camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera" and I loved it.
I have been leaning into my creative photography lately and just going by feel and it has been so freeing. It's funny how the more you shoot creatively, the more you want to do it. I've definitely noticed it has opened a whole new visual realm for me.
I just listened to 3 of those "Deep Time" episodes. Thank you for sharing and I really enjoyed your piece as well! It's encouraged me to dust of my old love of photography. I only ever dabbled but especially as I'm homeschooling now I think it's an excellent time to exhume the old passion and share it with my children!
Sounds like you had a wonderfully rejuvenating weekend. he mix of yoga, homemade soup, fitness, naps, books, and movies sounds like the perfect recipe for a reset. It's important to carve out that time for self-care.
I find this post relatable. I love photography as well as being the photographer and audience. I agree that photographs give us that sort of boost, energy or motivation, whatever you wanna call it.

Of course! Thanks, Laurie.
