As someone who just joined the retirement ranks this past December, this really hit home. One feels you are finally granted all the time in the world (to catch up and finally do everything we ever wanted), full well knowing that time is now very much limited. Was reminded just how ephemeral that 'contract' can be when out on a lovely extended photowalk, only to come home with a blown out knee...

Sorry it's been a tough week Andy...breathe, hydrate, and take a walk if you are able and it's not too cold! Thinking of you.

Thank you Andy for sharing this... so funny and also very sad...just like living life. Beautiful. It is a new story to be retired, next chapter or something like it.

This is soooo good. Here's the link to the whole film. My 86-year-old husband is set to retire this March!

Hi Honey - was thinking about you the other day. Hope you and all are well.

So nice to see you here! I left Meta platforms in January 2026! We are all vertical and beginning to thaw out from this arctic winter. Readying for the most important midterms!

Oh, that was wonderful. All the best to you and your dad. It's not easy, this stage, but somehow we get through it - hopefully with grace and love.

I so hope your father recovers soon.

Oh, bummer. It looks like this might be available to stream on Disney+ in the UK/Europe. Take a look at the film's website for details: https://www.retirementplanfilm.com/welcome Thanks for looking, Bent. Good luck!

Artists don't retire. Nor do we want to. Mick is still shoulder-shrugging at 82. Paul is touring at 83, What else can they do? Why would they stop? Artists don't need to retire because they live their best life their whole life. Every day is a part of that wonderful life so many people wait for 'til they're older. Artists don't retire, we want to keep doing it forever. And we do. That's how excited I am every day to wake up as a photographer. What will I create today?
