Hi Andy. I'm completely new to Substack so am happy to have found you. You may have already seen my site (via other social means) but here it is anyway - alanbrownphotography.com.

I strive to present more unfamiliar, and perhaps impressionistic views of the world, love to experiment and try to share some of my experiences through galleries, blog and helpful guides to others who may wish to get their toes wet.

Core work may appeal to a niche audience, but if you feel like others may gain from it, I'd be happy to work with you.

Hi Andy, Another photographer here. I would love to share some of my photography in due time. My photography is about climate change, but focused on solutions (there's plenty of coverage of the problem out there already and little about the many ways our society will have to change to live more sustainably). I started initially photographing regenerative agriculture but slowly my idea has evolved towards conservation of heritage breeds and indigenous and peasant knowledge. Clearly, I am still working on it but the more I learn, the more I like it... it's a process. BTW, the book "Aya" seems to be available from Editorial RM in Spain (editorialrm.com), in case anyone want to get it.

New to substack but came here with the intention of highlighting photography with writing on a platform other than ig and x. I like it here. Would love to share photos and stories anytime.

Great read! I have been thinking about this for a while now: “ Like many of you, I’m hooked on Instagram. And yet, the more I use it, the more I realize how awful it is for looking at and, more importantly, really seeing pictures”

I am working on a project making pictures of produce distribution facilities. The pictures are mostly panoramas made with the PhaseOne IQ3. Each pano image contains so much detail as they contain between 2-4 100 megapixel images, however, I am finding that much is lost when seeing these pictures on the Web and Instagram. Have a look…I’d love to get your thoughts !

Hi Andy, I follow you and flakphoto since a long time and your newsletter is a good window for photographers about our art. I saw the exhibition of Yann Gross in Arles this summer and it's a real beautiful work and very inspiring. I developp different projects about my territory, the Cevennes in the south of France. this is my website : www.80mm.eu

Thx for your work, have a nice day

Hi Andy and everyone. Thank you for the newsletter, it's quite different seeing photographs being featured in a paced manner in opposition to endless scrolling. I have started a photography Substack recently– https://pandersailphoto.substack.com. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. Keep going at it 💪🏽

Hi Natalie, I am an amateur photographer who started as a student in high school (film days). Sometimes I used my camera for work. Then I set it aside only to return a few years ago after going through a difficult period. The practice was healing and I appreciate the process of seeing and learning. My IG handle is @jacullman.
